The blade is hand forged by hammer, resulting in a quite distinctive texture pattern that varies from knife to knife. This knife is full tang san mai steel, which is a VG-10 core with 420 J2 steel laminated against it for the edge. The handle is glass reinforced nylon overlays that are specifically fitted for incredible balance and feel. A premium leather sheath is included that features a colorful fabric insert and snap closure. Made in Japan with a melding of traditional and contemporary methods, the SOG Forge FG01-L knife is built to last a lifetime.
